Though NTR now commands huge fan following in urban areas and overseas market, his core audiences are those who reside in the villages and towns of Andhra Pradesh. That is why he is called king of masses. And the mass audiences prefer him having thick mustache as in interiors of South India, mustache is symbol of real magatanam (virility). So after playing city slick guy in films like Brindavanam and recent Oosaravelli with clean shaven look, NTR is back sporting thick mustache.
He was spotted with his new look at the audio launch of Gopichand starrer Mogudu on October 11, 2011. He will be appearing with this style in his next release, Dammu , being directed by Boyapati Srinu.
